Year 5/6 Camp Writing

Team 4 the year 5 / 6 ‘s went on the year 5 / 6 camp last week, on wednesday the 6th to friday the 8th. We did our year 5 and 6 camp on the field at pt england school.that is where we don’t have to any work we just do cool and fun activities.


Camp means we sleep outside in tents and it means we don’t have to do any work instead we do fun and cool activities. Camp goes for 3 day and 2 nights we have groups and we name them the group that I was in it was called Tama Fia Fia. The first day of camp Tama Fia Fia and all the other groups sat down in a big marquee we have points that can be given out to any of the groups that the teacher picks. The first fun activity Tama Fia Fia did was the KILLER ZONE The killer zone is when you do lots of cool and fun adventures and racing the other team Tama Fia Fia raced male male katoua and it was really fun and we thought that we were going to win but we didn’t that was ok though because that was our first game of camp. We also did water slide, cyclo ball, Kayaking,swimming at the pools,scootering and ping pong,and Mr Someovile and his really really healthy treats (they were just lollies).


My first highlight was kayaking because me and my friend Eva we went far and we went around the pole that is in the water. We went half way around it and then we turnt the wrong way and we crashed into the pole we were screaming in a quiet way though. We were trying to turn around but we went the hard we went out behind the pole but we got back to the sore but before we went back the the other people we just sat there in our kayak and the water was so calm and then we had to go back to the sore.

My other highlight was the dessert. OMG the dessert was so nice the first night the dessert was cream, like a hershey pie but with caramel at the bottom. And it also had sprinkles hundred and thousand sprinkles it was so nice yum yum in my tum. Then the second night the dessert was yogurt cream and marshmallows which is called ambrosia and it also had sprinkles it was so awesome the dessert is so nice.


I would love to say a big thanks to the helpers and the parents that helped out with camp. I would like to thank the people that helped with security at night time and the people that help with the pools on friday. And I would say a big thanks to Miss Timmy for helping out with the amazing dinner, breakfast and dessert.

Camp was so fun and cool because all the fun and games that we did. Also the food that was so awesome and sleeping in the tents so cool we all had a fun time a the year 5 and 6 camp this year.

this is my first reading task this week and we had to read a story and compare it to our camp that we did last week. we had to write what the same thing happened at each others camp.

Little Red with a twist.

WALT: write a narrative using correct punctuation and sentences.

for this week my writing is about little red riding hood but it is with a twist so we had to make up our own little red riding hood so her is mine.

Meeting the but bad wolf. On one cold snowy morning blue riding hood and red riding hood’s Mother asked them if they wanted to go and visit, her grandmother because she was very sick. She made some muffins and put them in a basket and let them go into the forest. They both were wearing their favourite jacket and of course it was blue winter jacket for blue riding hood and a red winter jacket for red riding hood. They set of into the forest and they were happy to go and visit there granny. BUT…  when they were walking they didn't even notice that the big bad wolf was there. But just then the big bad wolf had jumped in front of them they were very scared.



Saving granny and red riding hood.Red riding hood and blue riding hood were so scared but they thought that he was going to be nice. Red riding hood ask what his name was but they found out the the big bad wolf was a girl so the big bad wolf ask them what they were doing in the woods all alone. So they said that there granny was sick and they wanted to go and visit her and see if she is ok so that is why we are in the forest.the big bad wolf was so happy she was going to have a fest. So the big bad wolf needed some time so she asked them if they wanted to pick some flowers for your sick granny so they picked up flowers while they were doing that the big bad wolf ran as fast as she could. But when she got there she walked in the door and saw granny and then he just jumped on granny and locked her in the closet just as The big bad wolf got into granny's bed blue Riding Hood and Red Riding Hood knocked on the door and then she had to Talk like granny to act sick blue Red Riding Hood and Red Riding Hood when inside and granny but it was actually the big bad wolf. Blue Riding Hood said “What big ears you have” So it's better to hear you with my dear then  Red Riding Hood said “granny what big eyes you have” so granny said”Better to see you with my dear”But then they said “granny what big teeth you have” Granny said eat you with my dear”The big bad wolf jumped out of the bed and jump and grab Red Riding Hood and blue Riding Hood went to go save her. Blue Riding Hood found a woodcutter and then the woodcutter came inside and scared the wolf away but the wolf wasn't fast enough so the woodcutter just chop him up and then blue Riding Hood and red Riding Hood went to go find granny They found her in a Closet.


Having a nice fest

When granny got out of the closet she was ready to fight but then she realized that they already got her so they, just cooked her up and had her for dinner red riding hood and blue riding hood haven’t had wolf before well they haven’t had big bad wolf before. This is the end of my red riding hood with a twist.
