Welcome back - holidays

 Task Description: 

Hi Welcome back to my blog. It’s TERM 3 yay !!! Well today I’m going to be telling some things about what I did in the holidays. In the first week my cousins came over for a couple of days. We mostly just chilled and watched movies. We also did some exercise and some running around outside with the little kids. And don’t forget that we had to do those chores before my cousins left. 

A few days later it’s the second week of the term 2 holidays. On monday my cousins came back from their mom for another couple of days. Like in the first week we chilled and watched more movies. But on Tuesday I went on a visitation with my dad for my other cousin's birthday and we went to dennys for dinner and some yummy cake. And during the weekend we mostly just cleaned and played games outside. My holiday wasn't that interesting but hopefully you had a funner holiday. HOPE YOU ENJOY!!     

Good leader.

 Task Description: This is a speech that I wrote for a challenge that team 5 is doing. 

Good morning team 5. 

Do you know how to be a good leader? I'm sure you have lots of answers but being a good leader isn’t easy so today I'm going to be talking to you about how to be a good leader.  

One way to be a good leader is to help and guide people through the right path. Guiding people means that you have to show respect to not only them but to everyone around you. Guiding people is shown in many different ways. Friends and people around you guid you through different paths and through those paths you could find that person or person’s to help through and find your right path.

the tallest tower challenge

This morning we had our first literacy class for term 2. we did a fun activity with our friends. I was put in a group with Precious and Triston. We had to make a tower as tall as we could but with straws and pipe cleaners. at first we were just talking about how we where going to do it. I had an idea of how we could make the tower tall without falling but that didn't really work. but while we where thinking on how where going to build our tower Precious had a great idea. It was similar to my idea but we put the pipe cleaners in the straw to make it more stronger. We all had to participate and work together to make our tower stand. It wasn't the tallest but we worked together and tried our best to at least make it stand. :)

how to be a good leader

 Introduction: what is a leader? A leader is someone who sets an example for others and has a good attitude. A leader should always be respectful to others and should be a role model. 

Body P1: One way

Topic sentence: one way to be a good leader is to set an example. To set an example you have to be helpful, responsible and more. For example if someone would be crying and they need help you should go help them that is setting an example.  

Body P2: Another way

Topic sentence: another way to be a good leader is to be a good role model. That is by showing kids that they can listen and be quiet. For example if you are just mucking around the little kids would think that they can muck around too.  

Body P3: A third way

Topic sentence: - a third way to be a good leader is to have respect. And to also be respectful to others. Once you show respect to others, other people would show respect to you. For example if you show respect to your mother by cleaning your room without being asked, your mum might be respectful back by buying you something. 

Conclusion: Remind the audience how to be a good leader - list the 3 ways    -  in conclusion being a good leader is to be respectful, by being a good role model and by showing an example.

Today in literacy we talked about what makes a good learner. I created this word art to show the qualities that I think make an active learner.

 Task Description: This is my writing for this week it was very fun to do. We read some poems and wrote some poems. And I did it just for you. 

Why do we need school

 Why do we need school 

Introduction: Do we really need school? School is a place where children go everyday to learn about new things about the world. In New Zealand people have to go to school from the ages 5-16. We go to school so we can learn, so we can get a job one day and so we can learn to get along with others.  

Paragraph 1: children go to school to learn about many different things. School is a place where kids can learn about lots of different things like reading, maths and writing. All of the things that you learn at school may help you in your future. When you're out shopping and you're trying to work out your money. If you didn't go to school then you wouldn't know how to do that.     

Paragraph 2:Going to school may help you get a job. When you go to school you learn many different skills. For example if you are very good at maths and you keep learning it then you could be an accountant. Or if you were really good at writing you could write story or something like that. Or if you were good at reading then you could become an editor so you could edit peoples books.  

Paragraph 3: School helps us make friends. At school we learn how to socialise with others. Sometimes our teachers put us into groups when we learn so we can work together and learn about each others ways of learning. Also at school we have sports. Sports help us to share and help each other. 

Conclusion: In conclusion we go to school so we can learn, hopefully get a job and socialise with others. There are definitely more reasons why we go to school then just learn, getting a job and socialising.

Task Description: This is one of my tasks from my writing. At the start all of the paragraphs where mixed up and our task was to put them all in there right place to make the story. 

   

What would I do if I found $50

What would I do if I found $50?

What would I do if I found $50? To be honest I have no clue what I would do because I've never been in that situation. But if I found $50 in my classroom at school then I would probably give it to my teacher for her to take care of. If it was in a different area, let's say GI. If I found $50 in GI on the street not many people around then I would probably keep it. When I pick up the money and no ones looking, I guess I don’t feel like a bad person but when there's people there looking than when they see if they see me pick it up than I feel like a bad person but anyways.If I saw someone drop money on the ground then I would definitely pick it up and give it back to that person. 

What would the consequences be if I picked up $50 of the ground and keeped it? I don’t know but you would have to get in trouble but if you don’t you're lucky but karma would come and bite you in the behind. What if you gave it back what would happen? you would get a big thank you or something like that I don’t know many ways that people can repay you by bringing their money back. I’m not saying if you find money on the ground take it and not give it back but how could they repay you?

What would you do if you found $50 on the ground and do you believe in karma?

Summarising

Task Description: This is my work for today we are learning about Papatuanuku and Ranginui. we read a text about Papatuanuku and Ranginui and we had to find 20 different and important words from the text. after that we had to choose 6 different most important words from the text. Then we had to summaries the text with those 6 words. HOPE YOU ENJOY.
